1. Visitors to our Website
Our website is hosted by www.mynetpeople.com and maintained by www.mynetpeople.co.uk & Siteworks. When someone visits the BCH website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
Cookies are only used on our website to facilitate Google Analytics and to store user inputted data to enable the site to give the best user experience.
Firewalls and anti-virus technologies are used to protect the data we hold. Only authorised staff at BCH / Mynetpeople have user names and passwords needed to access our data.
2. People who contact us via e-mail or phone Phone
When you call BCH we collect Calling Line Identification (CLI) information. We use this information to help improve its efficiency and effectiveness. e-Mail
We will monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.
3. People who use our services
We have to hold the details of the people who have requested a service in order to provide it. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested and for other closely related purposes. For example, we might use information about people who have requested to attend one of our events to find out if they would like to become clients. Below we give details of how we use your personal data to provide specific services:
As part of its service BCH sends out regular newsletters to all its members. Each contains a link that enables the recipient to unsubscribe for future newsletters.
From time to time BCH sends 3rd party marketing offers to its clients. These are only sent to clients who have given their consent. Each e-mail contains an opt out link that enables you to unsubscribe at any time.
Under the Data Protection Act’s 1998 and 2018, you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you.

Complaints or queries
BCH tries to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints we receive about this very seriously. We encourage people to bring it to our attention if they think that our collection or use of information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate. We would also welcome any suggestions for improving our procedures.

Access to personal information

The Hair & Barber Council only shares your data with 3rd parties where it is necessary to do so to deliver our services to you. Those third parties are not permitted to use the data for any other purpose. You can also get further information by contacting us at the address below on:
